Review: Lush Cupcake Face Mask

BEAUTY EDIT

Chocolate heals the soul…and chocolate face masks heal your skin. Its a win-win, no?

Fresh face masks by Lush are a pocket-rocket, and you can usually always find at least one in my fridge. Apart from using Mask of Magnanimity throughout the months, I’ve been trying out the other varieties. The mint chocolate scented Cupcake mask was in my latest haul.

This mask has a really mattifying effect, and the mint soothes your skin.  I’ve noticed that I look a little oilier and break out just after using it, suggesting a detoxifying effect that this mask has.

What I found was that it was very hard to get off.  I had to use a washcloth, and even then a couple of tries. This may result in a bit of pulling your skin which is downright uncomfortable.

Nevertheless, I’m happy with the detoxifying effect, and the scent of this belies belief. I mean..you’re rubbing chocolate on your face. And unlike a surplus of eating too much chocolate..this will break you out for a good cause.
